I am no JDM expert by any means, but that looks like someone had a stencil and some white spray paint. It looks like a very well made replica to my untrained eye.

manufacturers can easily change the gel coat color, so i wouldn't necessarily base the entire claim on that. I believe ASM even changed from white to black gel coat (which really isn't smart considering shine is black).

have you tried emailing Opak with the picture? they should be able to tell with certainty.

UPDATED with a few pics on the first post. Anyone have any idea how to confirm authenticity other than guessing? I dont want to repaint my front end put on these fenders clear bra everything to find out I invested in fake parts. Thanks for all your help guys!

hmm the quality doesn't look that great. I've never owned any spoon aero, but usually japanese companies AT LEAST have the holes predrilled. if you don't get any answers here, i would either PM AlexS2200 and/or post in the spoon thread in the gallery asking if it's real. To me, it looks fake (but that's another guess). The tabs where all the bolts go on don't look clean and the corners and edges don't look sharp--they look typical of a cheap manufacturer.

i googled spoon fender in google japan and this link shows authentic spoon front and rear overfenders in white with predrilled holes.

It would be serioursly disappointing if a reputable sponsor on this site provided replica items for the price of authentic ones :/

I purchased them from gotuning then sold them to Jon. So if these are indeed replicas, I will be upset as well. The only reason I didnt keep them was because I decided to part out my car before I ever got it running again.
