Their break in reccomendation was used the 575 cc with stock ECU....
I used stock injectors and raised the pressure up to 67 psi, combination that uses Comptech for their 300 whp SC, nad ver passed 4000 rpm. I made 1500 km all of them in highway, from 1 am until 3 am for a whole week, changed the oil and filter... and was told that I did the incorrect Break in
Since I live in Spain i decided bore it in USA and sell it to a local so would be easier to him to do all the process.

back to the topic, a 2.4L and 100 mmm will kill all the S2000 qualities, you would able to rev up to 7000 or less, the cavalier Z24 spun to 6400 rpm, it is a 2.4L & 4 cylinders.

the '05 2.4L ASM car claims 305ps@8000 rpm. So 8000 to 8300 if you know how to build an engine and use the right parts would be a safe bet for the 100mm stroke.
The factory USDM 2.2L is 8K redline, 8300 fuel cut right out of the box. If you get lighter rods and forged pistons and block the oil squirters (not really needed with good forged pistons) to ensure adequate oil pressure, 8500 is safe, and 9000 isn't that far off. If you look at a lot of the movies with the J's 2.2L (besides the one BMI where it blew up, though in the same video it rocked around Tsukuba in the NA battle), you see they regularly take it up to 8500 and 9K sometimes.
I think that stupid BMI movie created this whole high revving 2.2L scare. Oh, so at 9K the piston speed is the same as a 2.0L at 10K? OH NO!!! There are 2.0L out there that rev to 11,500 rpm. You just have to know how to build a motor and what parts to use.
Anyway, I like the ASM car cuz it makes good power and GREAT torque. I bought an AP1 cuz I like 9K and it is exciting, but I also want to make a fast track car. In the end, its still bragging rights. If I ever have the money to build a sick N/A motor, I'm not gonna cry if I lose my 9K redline to have 30kg of torque to the wheels pulling me out of a low speed turn.

I'm pertty sure the toda kit will be using their toda forged piston and forged rods. Toda know how to make engine parts. I'm not cheaping out on a stroker and going to wait for Toda 2.4 liter.
Good, Toda is top notch. My shop is actually using the Toda pistons in our K powered CRX time attack car. I'd only use maybe custom Cosworth pistons over Toda, but Toda I think has more experience with the FRM sleeves, but I'm too poor at the moment.
