Thinking about changing intake
i got my v2 intake about a year and a half ago and i am thinking abolut changing out to either oem with spoon filter and snorkle or a comptech intake. i am thinking about changing for 3 reasons
1. the intake is recieving direct dirty air from what ever air enters the front air dam of the engine, and i feel direct air might get the filter dirty very quickly
2. the intake might possibly make the most pow
er at high rpm's but i dont know if im losing low end power for the claimed high end gain. lots of people have mentioned the spoon filter/snorkle offers nice midrange power
3. hydrolock.....while it hardly ever rains where i live the s2k is my daily and i drive it in the rain, i would be so furious if i ruined my engine because of the aem intake
let me knof if you guys have any opinions, thanks.

Stick with what you have
You are probably getting as much power as you can from the intake.
Throttle response is not going to change much (if at all) from what you have now to what your thinking about going with.
Spoon filter and snorkel will not make as much power, but will look more "JDM". If you do decide to run this save the money on the filter and by a K&N (-$ and same performance).
When all is said and done it is your car and your decision. If it were me I would spend the $ on a different mod.

I was thinking the same thing...Right now I am in the middle of buying this head for my car and having it built for force induction....But for right now I was thinking of a Spoon snorkle,Hondata Heatshield Gasket,ARP Carbon Radiator playe, Comptech Filter and a T1R 70mm Exhaust and Test Pipe....I was thinking that should hold me over while I save up the3K more for my Lovefab kit....I was kind of expecting a gain of around 10RWHP or maybe even 15...
