If you think about it....all after market ECU's are reflashed JDM ECU(Mugen, Amuse, Spoon).... Since they work fine, I do not see why the stock JDM ECU will not work.....

I really dont know what the big fuss is with the JDM ecu..... even if it has a different MAP table you will not see any significant gains. I think you would be better off with something like emanage......

I would think they would have to be because 1 different Octane and 2 higher compression ratio

That's the whole point. Its stock for JDM cars, which run on higher octane gas and are mapped different than USDM ECUS. Therefore, one could be running too lean and detonate the engine.

I think you'll be fine as long as you 92 Octane or higher just like the Mugen ECU.

I run 98 oct and I think European ECU is the same than US, we have the same compresion also.

Remap an ECU for 6hp extra is usless the extra 6 hp come from more compression (11,7) and better gas (98).
