Any of you guys going to the NASA-X at VMP? I am thinking about coming down again.

Not me. I've actually never run with NASA but I hear their courses are a bit faster and better setup than VMSC and you'll get more runs.

Jr. Johnson is doing the course. I'd expect it to be pretty fast. I figure I will go down and at least make him earn the win. I am completely weather dependent, though.

I might do it, weather and workload dependent.

The rumors are all true re: NASA. And Junior makes some awesome course designs

Also worth noting re being "weather dependent", it is significantly cheaper if you pre-register ($30mem/$35non in advance vs $40mem/$50non that day.) Also you only get to pick your car number if you pre-register, day-of regs get a number assigned like "983" or similar.

I've already per-registered, but I am not driving 3 hours each way to run in snow, rain, ice, etc.

I'm in the same boat as Jeff. Work should be all clear, but cold+wet=me staying home. I checked my left front dunlop and it looks like I took some chunks out of the tread due to the massive understeer I got on the last event. I'm hesitant to order new street tires, run them for one event, and then put them in the shed for the rest of the winter. They should still pass tech since there's no cord showing, and they drive fine on the street, but I'm going to send some pics to John (getfast) just to make sure.

You can use my street wheels....255 star specs on 18x9 RPF1's. Offset might be an issue. They are only +35.

Thanks for the offer, but wouldn't those wheels rub a bit?

Have to inquire among the s2k brain trust...it is a very conservative offset for the z, though.
