you might be able to run at summit without a roll bar with some organizations (up to each organization and it's a judgment call). Trackdaze last year let someone run - but instructors still have the right not to run with you.
I'm looking for any track event that I can run without a roll bar. I really don't like the way roll bars look.

*braces for flood of roll bar salesmen and advocates*

Cars tend to roll over at the Mercedes events too.

Spend a couple hundred bucks and get track pads. You will be able to stomp on the brakes as hard and often as you like and not have to wonder if you will be able to stop.

Any anyway, you WILL need track pads after your first couple events so why destroy a nice set of street pads in the meantime?

how much do you value your head in the event of a roll over?

As someone else mentioned, you may not mind potentially killing yourself in a rollover but I can't ask instructors to hop in your passenger seat and take the same risk.
You have a good point. I never intended to track the car when I bought it. It's my DD and I bought it for Honda's reliability, S2000's looks, and the fact that it's also an affordable convertible.

I did start AutoXing though a few months back and I've had lots of friends tell me I have to experience the S on the track.

I may end up breaking down and buying a roll bar, but not for a while. In the meantime, If there's an event that doesn't need one, that'd be awesome. As a track n00b I'd be way too cautious to flip it over (hopefully)

I agree as well. When I do attend a track day I will certainly do that.
