There is a big right hand sweeper similar to T9 at summit on Thunderbolt. Only about 3x longer. I was filling up my catch can after every session, and I started to get a little paranoid about oil starvation. Need to get one of those baffled oil pans....

Now, a handling question.

I am seeing a little more understeer now that I have this new rear downforce. My front camber is -2.8 which is not where it needs to be. All other things being equal, will more negative front camber reduce this understeer? Tire wear was a little biased toward the outside of the tire, but not overly so.

Yes, more front negative camber with help in both regards. Both Skip and I run -3.5 front and around -3 in the rear.

Did you have fuel suck on the right hander? I needed 3/4 tank in order to avoid serious fuel suck on that turn (thought I blew the engine when it first happened).

Reduce castor to gain a little more -camber. Try softening up the front rebound a little or soften the fron swaybar. What are your tire pressures?

I don't suck.

I need a full day (like a seat time) of open track to fool around with the suspension. Also, I need someone that actually knows what they are doing with suspension. Pete, you know what you are doing. Right?

Oh hello there!

See the s2k in the backround (on jackstands) getting the street brake pads put back on. Just picked up the FD today for a friend thats stationed overseas. I'm watching/storing it for him until he returns or has it shipped to Italy. I get to drive it around this weekend until I send the owners plates back.

What's under the hood you say?!

LS6 block - stroked to 383. Forged internals. Trick flow heads. Wet nitrous kit.

Puts down 450hp N/A and 550 on the bottle.

This car makes my 420rwhp s2000 feel like a luxury cruiser. The gurgly cam is arousing to say the least.

So the North Carolina house is not going to happen. I am heading back to the track. I am looking at buying new Enkei RPF1 17X8all around new from Tire Rack for $1,012. (Unless anyone has something better for sale) I am not sure what tires to buy. There are no RA1’s for a 245/40 OR45 - 17 fitment. I refuse to pay $229 +20 for shaved R888’s that have FAIL written all over them. Hoosier A6 245/45 ZR 17 seems to be my best option at $1,064 from Tire Rack.

Kumho V700 for $876 is a cheaper option, but I have never heard of anyone running those.

What say you? Crap, I need to buy a new wing too! (Unless anyone has one for sale)

I have also been looking at the GtechPro Fanatic top end GPS lap timer/performance device. Has anyone had any experience with them? For $299, it looks to be a good value. Any used transponders out there? Yes, I plan on coming back for real. No hard top $$ until next year, but I can run with Matt top down.

Lou, I think everyone is running RPF1 17x9 +45s with the 245 and 255 tire sizes. Welcome back

Hey Lou for about the same price Enkei just released a new wheel this year, the PF01. It comes in either 17x9 +60 for easy fitment, or 17x9 +48. I am probably going to get some but I haven't decided which offset to go with. Price should be about same as RPF1.
