Could anyone recommend a good set of brake pads for my first couple of track weekends?
Will I also need a second set of rotors if I plan to keep running OEM street pads? What's the cheapest place to get them?

The more I learn, the more I realize that's true. I thought I had a good idea of how much this would cost, but I definitely underestimated it. I just can't tell you how much I want to get out there right now, and get started! I've been waiting to do this since the day I bought my car.
Between seats, brakes, tires, and $$$ for track time, it might still be a little while before I can fit all of this into my budget though. I'm getting a raise in June. Maybe that'll do it.

Tracking a car (especially a pretty nice car like an S2000) costs MORE than you think it will. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking it will not cost enough for your girlfriend/wife/pet to start complaining that you are spending TOO much of OUR money.

I've also done this for one track day. Jim on the other hand swaps rotors and pads at the same time.Eric @ brakeswap for good prices.

The issue is that it is a TON of fun so when you start doing track events, you will want to do more.
