$6-10/lap is probably not that far off as a heuristic.
I think our Lemons team spent around 4k for 1 race, not including the car or safety equipment. Granted it was in FL, but you really can't do this sport inexpensively.

Anyone interested in a 1 day HPDE on the Jefferson circuit for $150? Mercedes will be running this on April 30th (Saturday). Good way to shake off the winter cobwebs.
