HPDE1 will probably be fine with no roll bar. But at the end of the day it is not my call so we'll see...

Since we are on the topic of tires, what do most of you guys run for an R-Compound tire? What are your favorites?
I ordered NT-01's this morning. I'll let you know how they hold up.

I think you are going to like them, David. I ran an old NT01R last year and they handles pretty good for my driving. At SP Main it gives me a lot of confident going WOT (flat out ) coming out of T5 while building speed thru 9 if I get right coming of T5. They warm up pretty quickly but you can over cook them after about 6 laps, at the same time though they are easy to cool down once you feel it getting greasy. I may have to get another set and then maybe progress to A6 or something.

I would imagine with the turbo I will be driving hard for a few laps and then taking a cool lap to keep the engine cool so it should help the tires, too. I just can't wait to get back on track!

I bet! Man, spring is coming up fast! What event are you hoping to make first Dave?

I haven't even looked yet. My one buddy is going to a PCA event the end of March. Maybe then? Depends on how the car does these next couple of weeks.

No I know, I wouldn't get a FSB if staying staggered. I was asking if I had the stiffer front sway on there for a square track setup, if I switch back to stock wheels for driving out on the street, would it noticeably understeer?

No, will not for me anyway. I feel it understeering if I drive the car hard like autocross kind of driving but not on regular street driving, I don't even notice it. When I like to play and do a power turn, I turn in early to anticipate the understeer and push the front tires right next to a curb then back out on gas a tad bit and once the tires bites then I roll on the throttle quickly.

I HATE trying to change my oil with my supercharger. I think it may be time to get a dedicated bung welded on so I don't have to deal with this stupid oil return in the drain hole.

Matt, where did you get your oil pan baffle? Let me know when you find someone to weld yours as I should probably get one too even though they scare me.

ebay, J's racing copy. I considered the Alloy Craft one advertised on s2ki so take a look at it too.

If you can stomach a $600+ oil pan, I would buy the spoon pan. I looked at all of them and it definitely looked like the best design. On principle alone, I am not paying $600+ for a oil pan. I bought a NBIB oil pan off ebay for $100 and a $70 baffle plate.
