Jim, let us know how CR handles the track!
Way too much tire and aero for a stock motor. That wing would just kill any top speed. I think 110 is the highest top speed I ever saw at Summit Main and that was on RA1's with a perfect entry exit in turn 10.

PTC class with NASA has M3's, boxters and other faster cars. I bet its a turbo turbo.

Install a new suspension on the CR before testing it's out of the box capabilities?
Yup, I tested it out on the dragon with the swift-r springs (very similar to stock CR) and CR dampers, and they are good. Very neural with a staggered 225/255 setup, MUCH more so than my AP1 with the KWv3s, but my track wheels/tires are non-staggerd. Plus I wanted to try something different and I already know how the KWv3s feel.
The KW's would wallow a bit when really pushed hard and after 10 + laps (lack of rebound I think). Turn 3 and 10 at Summit Main are corners a little more stability would be welcome.

I know those are key corners to lap times there.

At Shenandoah ?? That track still mystifies me

What new suspension? Do share!
Some race valved konis. Probably going to need to do some tweaking.
Race valved Yellows or some of the higher end Koni stuff? What spring rates are you planning to try?

Just race valved yellows, 800/700. Its an STR setup, so we'll see how it feels on the track.

What a beautiful day today for the track! Sunny, not hot, not cold. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Can anyone recommend a good event for a beginner to the track? Would something like FATT be a good start or can someone recommend a good driving class/etc in the area? I looked on summitt's site and it seems like the FATT's fill up quickly. Anyone with any suggestions for a track noob would really be appreciated. Thanks!

FATT or Trackdaze events are both good for beginners. NASA and SCCA events are good too if you aren't intimidated by race cars etc. You will have an instructor and be in a group with other new people at your first event with any organization.

Track Daze has been my favorite. Great atmosphere and a lot of track time per dollar. I believe they have an event coming up in May at Summit.

You generally get the most track time with them too. No roll bar needed for the upcoming shenendoah event.

Did prices for Trackdaze go up? Might do the May 18-19 Shenandoah event.
