This was very exiting, to be able to teach someone how to drive and see the progress in that student's driving throughout the day. What made it even more enjoyable, is the fact that student's car was Fr-s. Nice little car, very balanced and a bit underpowered. With tracktion control on, the car was very safe and predictable on the track. It was student's very first time on the track, and by the looks of it, he enjoyed it quite a lot!

On the other note, I've bend my driver side RPF-1 while hitting the curbing right before the bridge (high speed turn before you go over the hill). Surprizingly, the tire looks fine and there was no vibrations as I drove back home. The steering wheel was a tiny bit off and when I trided to put the car on the lift at home the side of the bent rim was sitting a bit lower then the other side... I took the wheels off and did some measurements of the suspension...nothing seemed to be off. I'll replace the wheel and put it on the alignment rack to see how it looks... I wanted to dial in more camber on the front anyways

Saw one guy with the red AP2 who was doing Time Trials, that's about it...
Congrats Oleg. It can be fun to see a student improve. It is strange the tire stayed up. I remember Cale rimming one, I don't think it bent, but the tire went flat. He and Mani used the same right front the rest of the day.

RPF1s do bend very easily. I'd almost be willing to say it's a known fact. That's one of my only complaints about the wheel. I've never had issues but I'm also not on track curb hopping. I've definitely heard of plenty of people bending them that frequently use the curbs on track. Good thing is that for the most part it's pretty cheap to replace one.

Hey Carlo,

The curb I was talking about is at turn 12, on the right, going towards the karussel. I usually don't get that close to it, but I was passing someone and had to pinch it a bit. My mistake was that I was not aware of all the hazards on the track surface......gotta make a list for myself for the future.

Up the Hill? Did you go over the curb? I don't remember it being unusually harsh or bumpy there.

Very dangerous when raining as water runs in a stream there and hello hydroplaning.

I need to change the oil on the Miata and bleed check the brakes. Since I swapped the RA1s to crap summer tires the race pads just dont wear much.

Plus I need to change the rotors on the vette and bed them in.

I really want to drive something like this on the track. I bet it's every bit as fun as the s2000 and much cheaper to maintain.

There is no way this wing is paired to the stock drivertain miata! Probably have one of those ford v8s in it....look at the tires!
Jim, let us know how CR handles the track!
