Thumbs up Bumper Ouch!

hi guys-
A couple of things;

1) Is there a body shop in the N. VA area that absolutely does consistently awesome work that most of you agree on? I did the curb thing to the bottom of the bumper and it's killing me! I had a clear bra installed and then it happened; perhaps the universe getting back at me for loving the car a bit too much maybe..LOLL

2)For any of you insurance experts out there:
I've got a 250 dollar collision deductible, and a 50 dollar comprehensive deductible. Now I hit the curbstop fair and square, but do you think I have a prayer of getting it covered under comprehensive?

Thanks to all in advance...and let's get together soon; the May event sounds cool. I've never met you guys (and ladies) and would love to do that soon. Who knows? I may become the senior poster child for the group. I'm good with that!

I always take my stuff to Craftsman Auto Body in Chantilly. I like their work, then again I am sure there are plenty of people that don't.

D&V Autobody in Chantilly. Its a small shop that does great work. There's a reason they were out supporting last summer's Evolution meet. One guy owns a modded IS300, and other owns I think a modded Prelude. They know what it means to take care of their cars.

Additionally, unless the cost of your repair is well over $1000, I would not claim collision. Comprehensive will not cover you running into the curb, only collision will do that. And a collision claim will increase your premiums. In the long run its cheaper to just pay out of pocket for something that really isn't insurance worthy.

Absolutely the BEST in the area is Spectrum Auto Painting & Collision Ctr on S. Four Mile Run Drive. Take the Shirlington exit off of 395. Trust me when I say they do awesome work. Do a search under their name in the Mid-A forum and many other people also say they're the best.

I have pics in my photo album of the awesome work they did. Ask for Mark, he's the owner.

As for your second question, I don't know. I guess it would depend on your ins. co.

I second LiQiCE on D&V. They are the best around IMO. I've had the car in their shop twice and both times they have done an amazing job. They went above and beyond each time. My last trip to them was a bumper issue (among other things) and they did a wonderful job. It's a small family run business and they make it their business to give you the best possible service. Kevin Maharaj will take good care of you. Tell him the guys from s2ki sent you.

ps: his brother just got a new evo...nice looking car.
