Default Cracked Windshield

Looks like some water got into a chip on my windshield last night during the snow, froze and cracked my windshield.

Any suggestions on places to replace it at in MD and an idea on cost?

Thanks.

Fed.

Check with yer insurance provider. Should just cost you a deductible.

I took mine to my local safelite, did a fine job

Safelite is more prone to cracking again and also can be distorted at the corners.

When my window took a rock from a truck (2 weeks after getting the car), I took it to Banner Glass in Ellicott City. I think they did a good job. Nice older guy doing the work. THey were very careful with my car. They parked it in the garage overnight since I got running late. I recommend them. I think it was less than $300.

The only reason I dont like safelite is I am not sure it's as strong as an OEM quality glass and the windshield is used by the airbag to make sure it stays oriented correctly in an accident and I want that thing to work right if (god forbid) I ever need it to.

Safelite worked well when I had to get my RSX's windshield replaced from a damn truck, and it was only around $215.

I've got the same problem, and called the local honda dealer, they told me OEM glass was done by PPG, I don't trust them that much, should I believe this?

Well, they just replaced the windshield, guy left, so I go to check out the windshield, and it's clear, finally, no sandblasted windshield. However there is a crack twice the length of the rear view mirror at that same level

Called safelite, they can onlyu replace in 3 days because the urethane has to cure otherwise it'll just make a huge mess.
