Has anyone replaced their windshield yet? I got two spots that got cracked. One spot is a little chip, so I didn't think much of it. I thought I could live with it. Later to find out that there is another spot that started to crack and split into a line. It always seems to happen at the very edge of the windshield. If the rock would have flew 1/2 a cm to the right, it would have hit the metal frame instead of the windshield.

Also, do you think the S2000 windshield is pretty expensive? I think if I called one of the places, they would be like WTF is that car.

It doesn't impair my vision so I think i could live with it for alittle longer.

yeup its expensive. I dont recommend the Honda OEM glass either. For your chip, see if they can repair it / prevent it from spreading any further. The glass costs ~500 bucks installed. Its not like a typical car which runs anywhere between a hundred and two hundred bucks.

Thanks Randy.

What do you mean by Honda OEM glass? Is there another S2000 windshield provider besides Honda?

Yea, I have my invoice but can't remember what glass they used, and it doesn't say. The Honda OEM glass is very soft and pits very easily. Aftermarket glass - as quoted by others too - seems to last longer and not pit as easily.

I remember the days of using a razor blade to clean glass up really well - but with this car and the OEM glass... ack, it just melts right through the glass. At least it did when I tried it.

I paid just under 500 bucks (like 492 and change) because I was paying out of pocket they gave me a deal. Otherwise I think it runs 514 and change - installed.
