Default Diagnostics

All, one of my neighbor's son's (just graduated from JMU), has been accepted into the Army's Warrant Officer program as a helo pilot. He leaves for basic training at Ft Benning , GA in mid Sep. His GTI has a couple of idiot lights on and I'm wondering if I bring him (and his car) to Jeff's on the 8th, would someone have a diagnostic analyzer that they could bring so we can help a future vet out here before he leaves ...... Or beter yet, is there someone in the Burke/Fairfax VA area that we could meet up with sooner ? Thanks

Take it to an AutoZone... they'll read the codes for free.

I live in Fairfax and have an OBD2 scan tool too. If you want to use it just let me know. I don't know how convenient it would be for you.
