I am ridiculous then... $175 for the AUT one. biggrin.gif AND i have to cut it so that the hood pins can pass through it. lol.gif
Sorry, let me rephrase that haha I'm not saying its not worth it, personally i think the AUT one is great. Hell the carbon kevlar one would be amazing looking on my Rio. ACTUALLY......hrm...now that i think about it, the AUT one directs it right to the intake inlet doesnt it...? if im going to probably keep the stock airbox...CRAP. Thanks Skip, i feel like a tard now haha does it go right up to the inlet for the airbox? If so this might just turn into a for sale thread haha figure if i spend the extra for the AUT one, i wont really need a snorkel later anyhow. does this fit the 06's well?

*places his foot into his mouth* Well now.....I guess im gonna be the ridiculous one. Thanks everyone, for some reason i saw the AUT one and it just never clicked to me that it directs air into the inlet there well now that, that confusion is up. anyone looking for a completely blanked out rad plate? haha

Thanks but I'm not really looking to spend more than 100 bucks on a rad cooling plate...I think thats just a bit ridiculous. Unless I tracked the car all the time, which I'm not.

I just wanted to know if it would actually affect performace at all or bog down the car when its trying to take in air. if not, its goin on the car, but I might be willing for a trade straight up with someone, yours for mine. its 2x2 weave btw. ill try to post a pic of the actual one when i get a chance.
I'm asking $75 not $175.

I was not able find any pictures of that rad plate you were talking about. The AUT one acts kinda like a snorkel where it flows air right into the inlet. Im not looking for the cutout one anymore unless it does something similar to the AUT? Pics would help but for now i think i might just shell out some money and get that AUT one and throw another 20 bucks onto it and get the carbon kevlar to match my Rio better. Let me know!

I must have an early version because mine has a hole cut out while the current pics show no hole. It is not the Spoon version either, I also had that one and the Spoon snorkle but I sold them to a local member.

The APR has perfect weave dry CR (never even mounted and only removed from the box to show the CF to a former moderator on this board) but does not have the tunnel like part to flow air into the OEM airbox.

yeah thats what mine looks like right now with no hole, and yeah that cutout WAS what i was looking for but after Skip said he had the AUT one and I realized that the funnel part touches the inlet on the stock airbox , i decided that , THAT is what i needed instead. sorry about any confusion.

From Import Tuning Garage. The AUT carbon Kevlar rad plate. Itll match my Rio s2k and funnel air right into the intake. Thanks Skip. Still a tard for not realizing till now haha but i called Evasive and they said they will refund me if i ship it back to them cause it wasnt what was advertised.

That is pretty nice looking. Certainly worth $175 when you consider the cost of a separate snorkle/plate combo.

I think I might dremel mine out tonight to fit over the hood pins. I have the plain CF one. Heavy-a$$ stock airbox FTW!

You don't already have the CF version of the OEM airbox?
