The FX5200 will probably struggle. But I have heard of people running it on the Geforce 4600Ti - so give it a shot.

I would love to play a 3x4 or something like that if we get more people I have a FIOS connection (2Mbps upload) so we should be good

That's exactly what my friend and I used to always do in Warcraft III. It was a lot more fun than playing against the hardcore competitive people on Battle.net.
Yeah, I feel the cooperation is really neat, and offers people of different playing levels an opportunity to join in. The hardcore players online use too many exploits and the games can be over in like 10 minutes. Just not as much fun. Using the same exploits against the computer, especially with a friend, is doubly fun.

Do you have any favorite Civs in the game yet? I like the British, French and Ottomans for different reasons.

You mean a new graphics card? Yes they are all plug and play...

Plug and play is a Windows feature.

A 4600 is MUCH faster than the 5200. The 5200 is actually slower than the old 4200 in most benchmarks, believe it or not. There are dozens of cards on the market that would offer adequate performance.

Ah yes, that's right... the 5200 was the one that had Directx9 enabled, but sucked in DX8 benchmarks... right?
