Default Group Wash/Wax tomorrow?

My car is in desperate need of some TLC. My motto: "A clean car is a happy car. A happy car is a fast car"

Is anyone interested in getting together to do a communal group wash/wax kinda thing? Unfortunately, my codo complex doesn't have the best facilities and I am always hesitate doing the self-wash at Flagship (I feel like I will be abducted by crazed Civic owners ).

It would be nice to show up at the Autox with a clean car. I also want to mount my new radar detector and gets some ideas on hardwiring it. I think the weather will hold out too.

Just a thought....

And I was musing that that was the real reason you didn't come out last night...No time to wash the car!

I have to be in Rockville for a 1:30 appt. that will last about an hour. So morning or after 2:30 is fine. Don't have a clue where to do it though.

Anyone have a house/driveway/hose they would like to donate for this event?

Isn't it supposed to rain all day?

That's exactly the attitude that we're trying to avoid here!
Seriously - ya, I think it is. That should make the rinsing part a bit easier

I would offer up my place... two hoses, 2-car driveway and a good bit of street out front... but again - the rain - all day according to weather.com.

I will offer my place too (Reston, VA).

Have a driveway that will accommodate four cars so we could get some washing while a fifth can be inside the garage for the waxing.

Kids alert though, I have a five year old boy and there are four other girls 4-7 in my cul de sac. So we would get a lot of questions from the younger set ... Feel free to point the hose in their direction if the interrogation gets to you

If you still want to wash in the rain let me know I can always join you and wash my car as well - can't have the car too clean you know.

Have the company party tonight, other than that I should be home most of the day. I will probably be at home watching the Fast and Furious (need to pickup a vCD/DVD player though first - and join the 21st century).
