Keep in mind (in case "the mood" doesn't sync with your desire), that any facility that provides state inspections is liable themselves to uphold the state safety regs (regardless of how silly they might be ). I say this because all it would take would be a state trooper visiting when you're car is on the block...and they could have some answering to do with the law themselves.

Please don't get me wrong...I'm not "pro-inspections." Just that I've had this conversation before, and I can appreciate a facility's concern. Think about it (taking it to the extreme)...you get a passing inspection, you have a wreck (someone hits you when you're turning), you get a lawyer to say your car passed with [whatever] non-approved turnsignal bulbs...you and your lawyer each get a new car comps of the facility .

Would it happen that way? Not likely. Could it happen that way? Sure, folks have sued for less.

Damn I'm tired...this has got to be a boring read

--- sorry...

If I were the inspector I'd claim that the car owner did the work after I had inspected it.

No problem man. I told you she would hook it up!!! Most s2000 owners in the Mid-Atlantic area go to her and she is a dear friend of mine.
