Haha not that I mind him chiming in as that does shed some insight, but why does NY law shed any more light than VA law would?

Also if that's the case. Then how do they prove that it is louder? Couldn't someone just claim in court that it was no louder than stock? Wouldn't they need some kind of decibel meter reading compared to a stock decibel meter reading in order for it to hold up?

I asked someone who actually has real knowledge on this and could provide useful info. I PM'ed Defender who is a NY traffic attorney, a respected member here at s2ki, and someone I consider a friend.

Take note to the difference in his post compared to other particular posts in this thread.
