Thumbs up Installed a Spoon strut brace

This past weekend, I put a Spoon strut brace on my S. I bought it used from another board member. Anyway, after putting it on, I noticed 2 potential problems. First, it is right on top of my AEM V2. Is this going to be a problem? Second, the brace is as tight as possible on the towers, but where the actual bar connects to the part that is bolted onto the towers it is slightly lose on the passengers side. This may have been a confusing explanation, but i don't know how else I could describe it. I'm not sure how much of a problem this is or if it can be fixed. Thanks for the input.

You'll need spacers for it to completely clear pretty much any CAI

Yup, you're gonna rub a dub dub on cai. just stick a piece of rubber in between the cai and the strut bar.

You should be able to use just standard washers.

If you space it anymore, its going to hit the hood. My spoon STB hits the hood now without any spacers. I have no problem tightening mine up though.

Thanks for the input. I guess i'll avoid the spacers. I got a thin piece of rubber I will put between the cai and the strut bar. As for it being lose, its not a side to side movement, but up and down and only on one side. Hopefully I didn't get screwed with a broke piece.

It shouldnt move up and down, mine doesnt. If it moves, it would defeat any purpose of it being a strut tower brace.
