Default Local shop to replace AP1 valve reatiners?

I'm getting more and more worried about my AP1 valve retainers as I read on here about all the retainer failures. So I'm thinking about having them replaced. I posted question sin this thread about doing it myself but NagativeCamber says a shop would be able to do it cheaper. So what local shop would you all recommend and how much for the job?

Ben Scheffer at Daisey Auto in Woodbine MD I think it was did mine a few years ago, it wasn't exactly cheap. If you are getting it done have AP2 retainers put in.

Yeah, I was going to have the AP2 retainers put in. What do you mean by "wasn't exactly cheap", about how much?

What about Peter (forgot his screen name, has a white AP1) Does he still own his repair shop somewhere in the Balto area?

Also, if the SOVA guys could mention a good place to have the valves replaced. I am thinkin we need to start a Sticky for good rep shops and the work they do.

Internal Work
FI and Tuning
Fender Rolling
Body Work & Paint
Retailers

This would involve posting their phone, address, email, and why service they provided and how good it was. I think this would be a great help to the Mid A community
