That is unfortunate. Wagonworks used to be The place to take your car. Now it sounds like just another mediocre hack shop that lives by the numbers and not by the quality of its work.

This may still apply to some car insurance companies, but others will drop you if you even mention it. It's a real gamble. I forget where the thread is, but somewhere on here (S2000Talk, maybe?) is a thread from a middle aged guy who was kicked off of USAA after inquiring about whether he'd be covered at a HPDE he was doing.
Just to clarify: he was kicked off USAA simply for inquiring?

(As in, he did not put in a claim, and merely called to find out if such an event would be covered in the event of a crash).

And by the way, the car looks beautiful. It looks like they did a great job. I've always been interested to see how the track day insurers handle claims.

Yea, being dropped for a legitimate inquiry is scary. If you can't ask your provider about coverage; who can you ask?

On a side note: An extra $150 for track day insurance is a no brainer for anyone wanting to step on the track in a car they have a lien on. Thanks for the review. Now that I have the STi I really, really want to get back on track and would love to take it out once or twice until I prepare the S2000. This gives me the extra protection that I'll need...

OR anyone who doesn't want to spend more than the 2k that it will most likely cost to fix any damage done in an off track experience.
