Sounds like bad gas in the car or fouled plugs. If the car has been moved around on the car lot without being driven for some time it will foul the plugs. I wouldn't panic yet
The spark plugs have already been checked - it isn't as simple an issue as bad gas either

They're suspecting a bad valve. Luckily the car is covered under warranty and we have an adjuster on the way out to make determinations. The car will be repaired to the point where it is under Honda spec or we'll trade him out of the car for another S2000.

I'm very pleased with the way my Honda guys are handling this, but I want shittles to know (now that I know it is Checkered Flag) he/she can call on me if things aren't going to a satisfactory extent.

I've driven that car personally when another S2Ki member was interested in it and am 99% sure this problem just started within the last month because when I drove it, it was fine. Nobody wants to have a problem right off the bat with a new purchase, and I am confident that Checkered Flag Honda will get you taken care of in one way shape or form

We had this problem with an 04 on the lot. There is nothing to check with the plugs once they foul you need to replace them. Unless someone seriously over-revved the car (which I doubt) its a plug issue there really isnt a way to get 3 out of 4 misfire codes.

I'll tell them to replace the plugs.

Poindexter,

I appreciate the input. I am not trying to run CF's name through the mud. My intent was to see if anyone else had experienced this problem, as well as to vent my frustration. I would like to get in touch with you so we could further discuss this matter. Is that possible?

Brief update; Checkered Flag is still working with me to rectify the problem with my car. At this point, it doesn't appear to be as serious as I was starting to think. Last I heard from Poindexter, the Honda techs were going to put in some new spark plugs. Hopefully that will fix it. I will keep you posted.

Thanks again Poindexter for assisting me in this "issue" with my car.

The technician who is working on this car is the same one who I trust mine to

I spoke to him a little while ago and he said the first thing he did was replaced the spark plugs, so the problem runs a little deeper. Fortunately the suspected problem will be fixed by replacement of a fouled part. Unfortunately there is a warranty company involved and we have to wait on word from them before moving the process any further along

I am keeping Chris (shittles) in the loop over the phone right now
