I realize not everyone is out that way, but traffic is REALLY bad today.

Dulles toll road was backed up because it couldn't exit 495 - all lanes are pretty much stopped or rolling REALLY slow and it's bumper to bumper all the way across the American Legion through 270 - just south of the Montrose exit.

That's a lot of cars getting a very scenic tour of MD/VA.. so if you have something planned - check WTOP's traffic cams before leaving or find another route...

When it shows black and red on google maps that's never good. Good luck to anyone headed that way.

Yep, I try to take the MARC train as much as I can, as long as there's a Metro stop within about 5 blocks from the location I'm going to. If I can't help it, then I drive and I always check WTOP (103.5) for traffic - updates every 10min on the 8's.

the toll road is backed up everyday and the outer loop going into VA is usually backed up but I haven't seen black/red in awhile, it's usually just red.
