Default preferred engine treatment.

normally i would post something like this in under the hood but i wanted to here what the locals have to say.
what engine treatment do yall use? when i say engine treatement i mean stuff like seafoam and what not. what do you use and why? i used seafoam on my old 240 and it worked really good. my car smoked more than normal b\c it burned oil alot. my s2000 smokes when i gun it. most of the smoke is because i dotn run a cat but still its a little more than i'd like for it to do so i'm guess that i need to run some sort of internal engine treatment to make it not smoke as bad as it is now. i woulda outright bought seafoam again but alot of people on heresay that it might be bad for the motor and all sorts of stuff.

anyways what do yall use and why?

I would use BG stuff if it comes to doing something like that, plus if your car smokes when you gun it it might be either oil from the head going into the combustion chamber is the rings letting some by, either way seafom will not fix it, if some, it'll make it even worse by having a better chance to scuff the wall during treatment. I'd just use synthetic and change oil regularly.

yea i already do that. mobil one and a new filter every 3k.

after reading some more threads it seems like this is actually sorta normal for our cars. awkward but relieving.

If you run a test pipe, it might be normal , but if it is with the cat in place , then it might be something to look into... btw our cars burn oil only if driven hard..
