Default Prince William County Emissions

Hey guys,
There is a big splash in Prince William County right now about them switching to digital connectors. You can no longer hook up the sniffer to the exhaust to pass in prince william county. Does this mean the end of boosted S2k's in prince william county. What could you possibly tune it with. I know alot of people run the AEM EMS, and thats what places like inline pro reccomend - but I don't think you'd pass running that? This sucks, as I am definitely thinking about boosting here soon. Let me know if you guys have heard anything. I believe in Prince William County you can only take your car to a Prince William County emissions station. Thanks guys!

Its already like that in fairfax county.

You can pay for 2 years of emissions, which hopefully you'll be able to do in prince william. The only way to get by the emissions now is if you had a friend or someone with a stock s2k to follow you, and find someone that would hook up to the stock s2k for the emissions test.

Its definately hard around here now. good luck

Ugh, that sucks. So much for 50 state legal. I don't understand how the sniffer can't just do the job. I guess if i ever boost, I will have to make sure I can find someone to hook up the sticker, no way I would uninstall the whole turbo/sc kit unless i was selling my car.

I know... that's the problem. If you are running AEM ems, etc, basically anything other than an 0bd2 piggyback, you are in trouble because it won't scan the digital connector correctly.

Do you think E-manage ultimate (although inferior to AEM EMS in tuning capabilities) would be able to pass emissions checks in this manner?
