I've been a Valentine V1 user for about 15 years and bought an Escort 9500ix a little more than a year ago to try the GPS database thing. I really thought I'd miss the V1's arrows but the 9500ix is so good that you rarely get any false alarms, especially if you drive the same route to work and manually lock out the "door openers" and such. I would have to give the nod to the 9500ix.

i like the increase of the speed limit part! And now I am ride with style. But cant they still get you for obstruction of view with the detectors being mounted on the interior of your windshield?

nope. No different than having an inspection sticker or GPS system.

I couldn't care either way, I've been rocking a V1 for like 5 years here in VA, and never ran a front plate.
I want to remove my front plate too, deciding if I want to be harrassed by the cops on a regular basis though. How much is the ticket for that nowadays?
