Seriously!
UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!
But not as exciting as that update scream might lead you to believe. I need some well wishes and good vibes. Maybe a lynch mob support crew....who knows.
So, Gianna the first one is still being gutted. Motor is almost ready to come out. Just have to get the driveshaft dropped. I've been spraying the bolts like crazy with deep creep. Here's to hoping. After that is all done, she will be sealed up and stored until I get the funds to take her up and get caged up/tubed in rear for track status.
Yesterday I received a wonderful call from the body shop. Sophie was done, and by done I mean ready for me to pick up. Frame is pretty damn good. Definitely in spec. Maybe a few mm off of perfect. I haven't put lights in yet, but fenders and hood are good to go. I might need some parts from you'se all if I don't have them from gianna (I think I'm missing the little black metal piece that sits atop the bumper with the super shitty screws that don't want to come out). Looks good though, I think I'll have her ready to rock and roll in like a week, probably this weekend actually
So all I have to do is figure out if my intake is decent enough to keep running, clamp that back up. Install lights, fender liners, and bumper. I'm going AP2, but can't cut the beam until after inspection so I may get the dimples. She needs a good cleaning. The top get kind of beat from the dust and everything. It was basically pristine. I need to figure out how to best restore that. It's cloth, don't know much more. I have a receipt that is barely helpful. (I can call the shop and ask, at some point).
The downside, I still am having Insurance woes. They done f@#ked up again. They sent me the title and lien release instead of sending it to the MVA. So I can't even go through the salvage process or register my car. So all this nice weather == motorcycle and no top down cruises. Which is killing me. Hopefully this gets resolved. I'm waiting on the insurance company to call me back. Supposed to be called back today, before close. If not I'll be on someones desk Monday morning.
I'm also super anxious about the inspection. I'll be watching like a hawk and not leaving the car. I'll camp out there and take off work if they don't do it same day.
SO DAMN CLOSE!!!!
