Teins are way soft. Espilirs are the way to go.

I had those as well for about a year(2003). They are/were only a hair stiffer than stock.

Knuckle- be advised that simply running a lowering spring causes the shock to have to work harder thereby shortening the shock's life. Also, lowering the car too much can actually adversely affect handling, but most folks that want to slam the car aren't worried about that.

Yeah Im well aware of that..thanks for the positive info though, I appreciate people not flamin me for this question..other forums would assume that just because im new to that particular forum, that I was an idiot and knew nothing about cars. Def not my first import..just first S2k. I had teins on my civic and then ground control coilovers an its slammed in the front...but i also have HP's and such.
My Webpage
Im def not looking to "rice" it out...just want an agressive stance and didnt know which springs for the S would do that for me...I really was contemplating the Espilir's but after seeing my friends with those...I want it just a tad lower in the front. And some Konis will def be next on the list until I decide to do a full coilover set-up....as long as the springs arent too heavy the shocks should last for a while..

You are right to consider Konis in the long run for a shock (if not going the coilover route).

I've had a Koni & KG/MM SS spring setup on The Bruised Banana for quite a while now. The KG/MM sport springs offer a very firm ride (although I must admit, I've never seen them installed on stock shocks...so I cannot speak with confidence as to whether my car's stance is a result of the springs or the Konis). But again...car control-wise & steering, etc...I can highly recommend the KG/MMs

Here are a couple pics where the Konis were on their lower perch:

With the Konis raised to their upper perch, I am still riding lower than stock height on the KG/MM SS.

Good luck with your decision!

I'll make you feel better whiteknukl by asking a newb question of my own. Will the Koni's (or any aftermarket shock) handle espelirs long term? I want to lower my car but not if it's going to hurt anything.

Hey Wingman, how ya been? Thanks again for the initial info when we met.

Now to my question....what would happen or is it a good idea if he, WhiteNukl, got the Koni's, put (assuming that all 4 struts have 2 perches) the fronts on the lower perch and the rears on the upper perch since he wants a much more aggressive stance?

Yes WhiteNukl, I'll try to help you out.
