SweetJ's Message to the Mid-A
Thank You everyone for your responses. I'm sorry this has all come to a head but I think since I've been a big part of this community for a while that I deserved to hear from those individuals who think I have done such a bad job.
I do apologize for not announcing that I would be MIA for a while. I was not in the right state of mind and I had even been leaving early or nt showing up to work for these health issues. If I had hte internet at home I most likely would have taken the time to do it.
Again I'm very sorry I disappointed the community.
I also think the PMs should be kept private but I would also like it if the individuals who sent the PMS could inform me of what was done so wrong. I'm suspecting these people are my friends and if so they should feel comfortable enough to say there's PMs they sent to Alex. Its like a job... you take the issue up with the person you're having it with then if nothing changes then you would go to the boss or the other CO. I thought this was proper etiquette, especially since this people are supposedly good friends of mine.
I would really appreciate it if those individuals would come forward with a PM to me. I think I deserve that respect. I suspect that if you had people talking behind your back you might not consider them a friend anymore. How will I know who these people are. That just means I'll be suspect of everyone which is what I don't want to do.
I didn't open this thread to start drama regardless of what some people think or that I'm an attention hog
I thought I had the right to know from my FRIENDS how they felt!
Regards,
Jerrianna

Personally, I would think that if someone wanted to organize more events, do things that would better the community, just do it. If you truly only desire to help the community out, and are not focused on some infantile internet power struggle (is this silly title worth that much to some people that they would create a situation in which any other member's feelings are hurt or that divisions are created between members????) do so and the title will eventually be bestowed upon you as everyone will recognize the work you have done

That's what this whole hubbub is about. That other members have stepped up to the plate instead of the CO to organize meets this year. This isn't a power struggle on one side of the non-CO's. There was a suggestion that if the current CO's aren't participating then they should step down and that a better system needs to be put in place to better Mid-A. That's all there was to it. Then it got messy because some ugly truths came out in PM's, that if the Mid-A community read about, then I'm sure a lot of misunderstanding would be resolved quite easily. That's why I opt for PM's to be released. I understand that some folks don't want PM"s released because of the unwritten bond that will be broken. But I think that the people that are having opinions in this thread, their PM's should be out in the open. I think if you've voiced your opinion in this thread, then you need to allow Alex to post the PM's amoungst yourself out in the open and let Mid-A judge what is best for the community.
Sorry Pete, I can't agree here about the PMs. As much as I understand your point of view, the fact is, any such PMs were sent "personally/privately." People do so with an expectation of privacy. Its just not worth it IMO to drag stuff out unnecessarily. By that I mean that a ballot & voting should take care of addressing peoples' views here. No need whatsoever for Alex to put himself in [what would be an unpopular] situation of publicly exposing folks' private thoughts.
Again, I think any of those same people have their own PMs in their SENT box... And if they WANT to make those thoughts public, its accomplished as quickly as a copy/paste command on their own part.
Alex...scrap the public PMs thought...
Just my 2 pennies (one more time
)...
Thanks

I would only publicly post a PM if I had permission to do so from the original PM'er. Yes, some things have been said in PM's that would bring things to a halt in this thread and give clarification to those who are still sitting here with the
on.
w1ngman made a great suggestion, and that is to close this thread and continue the way things were heading - finish the poll on the number of CO's and then vote on the nominations. The CO slot is an elected position afterall with no regards to time served.

Alright this thread is benig closed. I still would like it if some people are really disappointed with me than I would like to know what I did wrong or even deserve to know to help me in the future.
Just to point out... Alot of people this year posted meets without even notifying Alex or I. Both Alex and I did organize a mod day... happy hours and such. I supported Deb with the drive in VA which was alot of miles for me. I always asked Peter if he wanted me to help with the wash n wax meets but he said it was under control. And one odf the biggest things I did this year was organize FC '05. I know its not a mid-A thing but I was a pretty big part of that. I even organized a pretty good sized group to come up there and represent.
No hard feelings!
