Thinking about Autocross in the Mid A?
At the mod day there was a lot of talk about autocross. Several of us there have done and do it, there were also several people that wanted to try. I realize there are questions newbs may have when it comes to their first autocross. Lets use this thread as an opportunity to ask and answer any and all questions regarding autocross in the Mid A, general experience and site specific.
Its a ton of fun and a good chance to push your car safely and legally. I think most would be surprised with what the S is capable of.
This pic is for Pete, two wheels what? I told you so. This is a pic of my car at the Commonwealth Games in Danville this July. I was told it got higher but this is the highest the burst shot shows.

While a very
photo(saw it in the R&C forum), that's not exactly how one would like things to go.
You actually get better steering and acceleration with all four on the ground, even if they are only lightly loaded.
Btw, I made a note of the web address for vinyls.
your company or displaying the company for a friend?

I wouldn't mind doing something like that.
I am down for the Autocross. But the HPDE schedule almost always falls on a monday. If there were weekend ones with little limitations i would be down. Like no roll cage, and not that far from Va Beach. i Have heard Pungo does things on an Airstrip. That would be optimal. When does that happen if at all?

Autox = no rollbar needs. HPDE = most times you need a rollbar(track/club dependent).
Autox is great for safely learning lower speed car control and traction limits. It's nearly an accident-free environment, too.
Capital Driving Club in the DC area runs AutoX's each month on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday) and they are very n00b friendly. Very laid back atmosphere, they offer instructors to teach, and everyone is really nice.

I'd recommend you come out and autox with CDC if you're in the DC area and want to learn.
