Default Trip to NoVa!

Mid-A !

On Saturday, September 15th my girlfriend Jane is celebrating her next birthday! Her & I have been talking about it for a while, debating on what we want to do. Well, we finally landed on a trip to the NoVa area.

Jane is huge into shopping, she absolutely loves it - just like any girl does! She really wants to visit the Potomac Mills Mall, Galleries of Tysons Corner, and Tysons Corner Mall. She loves the name brand stuff - Versace, Georgio Armani, Coach, Luis Vutton, Chanel, and all of those brands.

You'll have to forgive me - typically when I head up north I have a set destination. For example, I know that I'll be staying with Naveed in McLean, with Evan in Owings Mills, or with Kevin in Leesburg. When I'm hanging out with them, I just sit in the passenger seat and let them lead.

For her birthday, we are trying to spend a bit of time together - celebrating.

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in this particular region. Since I'm not from the area, I don't want something too far away - don't want to get lost. The hotel doesn't need to be anything fancy. We'll be spending a good bit of our day out and about, just really looking for a place that is comfortable to go to at night.

We definitely don't want a cheap ass Motel 6 - neither of us are too fond of bugs. Something nice... Hilton, Sheraton, and Westin are the three that she's found so far.

Thanks in advance,
Chad

I got to see the room my GF's mom stayed in the other week. Looked very nice, supposedly they just bought that building and have remodeled everything. The room itself was for Starwood preferred guests(credit card points stuff) so im not sure how that compares to the rest but all in all it was a very nice hotel.

Shopping wise you might also wanna venture in Georgetown and Pentagon City Mall.

If you are looking for a hotel in the Tysons area there is also the Sheraton off Rte. 7 and a Marriott at the intersection of 123 and International.

Shesh man.. I know it's her birthday and all, but are you trying to kill me? All these malls, I'm going to rip my hair out!

So, we have :
Galleries of Tysons Corner
Tysons Corner Mall
Pentagon City Mall
Georgetown Mall
Leesburg Outlet Mall

Does that pretty much cover all the 'good' malls in the area?

Yep that pretty much covers it. I hope you don't plan to go to all of them in one day!

You could do Tysons I & II (Galleria) in the same day, and even Leesburg if you're up for it.

Then Georgetown and Pentagon city the next day.

Well, we're going to leave Virginia Beach in route to NoVa on Friday, September 14th. We'll be up there for most of the weekend, probably check out of the hotel Sunday, September 16th around 11:00 am. From there we'll probably hit up one or two more malls and then head home.
