Clip is broken? as in it wont stay connected to the fender?

 

the guy I bought the care from I assume broke it, when i took the right side off it came off np and i replaced it with the smoke set, but the left side wouldnt budge after slowly prying it open i found epoxy holding it in place, so No i dont believe if you stick it in itll hold, the tip of the clip is broken, i can send you a pic if youd like, the right side if in perfect order though!

 

I want your shift knob where are you located?
