Anyone have an old OEM head unit laying on the shelf that you want to donate/x-mas gift a brother? Seems the internal amp on mine is going, going gone. The darn thing has taken to changing the volume on its own. Very annoying when you are trying to rock out. Maybe it doesn't like my taste in music!

Anyway, the electronics forum helped with a search and whaddya know, it is a semi-common issue and the amp is to blame. Bummer.

I am a cheapo and not interested in upgrading decks at this time. Money is better spent elsewhere, so a donation or good-guy discount would be greatly appreciated. I tried a HU from an '02 a couple years ago and my OEM speakers did NOT like it at all. I make pretty good sound with MY deck, but the extra watts in the upgraded '02 unit was too much. Funny because I think the speakers cones are the same = plastic. I wanted the extra power and CLOCK but alas no......in went the old deck.

Long post short, I'm lookin' for an '00 head unit.

Found the HU but i have no idea what i did with the code card.hum....how many numbers is the code.....?

Is it outta your '04? Not sure if the harness is the same, or if the power issue will happen again like the '02 deck.

yes...it's from my 04.I'll bring it to tech day anyways...and as for the code #,I'll keep looking for it but i have an idea of what it may be.

I think I have my 03 and the 03 speaker that come with it also I will bring them also. I will have to look into getting the code for you if you decide to want them.

Did you find the code or are we gonna just guess the code after we power it up? We can always contact the dealer to get the code. If they charge, I'll cover it.

I found out the harness is compatible.

No, I haven't found the code yet but i'll look really hard today after work.I'm 90% sure i know the number.
