I live an 1hr and 20mins from Lime Rock, and it's the best drive. I'm dying to do some HPDE there this year. Thinking mostly with SCDA and PDA. Maybe I will dare joining a Porsche club. For others that may also be interested here are some links:

My concern is the cost to prep for a basica HPDE as many others have expressed a challenge for this track. Between the db limits and convertable restrictions it's a real PIA.
I do know stock boxsters are able to run with te Porsche club.
I am seriously thinking about ordering a Har Dog bar, but then I'm concerned about using stock seats with it, see this thread: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=755972&st=0
OK then on top of all of this, assuming I fork out the $$ for the bar, maybe a seat/harness I get to the track and they shut me down for the db limit
FYI I have the asura exhaust so it's not that loud but who knows. And...for my turbo setup I have my wastegate routed into the DP so no issue with and open dump
OK so I'm partly ranting out of frustration but also opening this up ..ONCE AGAIN... in case anyone has some new great ideas or experiences to share regarding L.R. and also in case some newbies are also curious.

Sound measurements are usually taken along the front straight just about at the "tower." I have been there and seen them throw folks out for noise. Can you rig up a turn end to direct the noise away? I saw plenty of that going on(with varying amounts of success). I have had no trouble with my stock exhaust. It is plenty efficient (for n/a) just heavy. I also have hard dog and hard top.
Get the rollbar, etc and run with COM. 4 events at NHMS, 1 event at Watkins Glen (!) and 1 at Mt. Tremblant (1hr n of Montreal) try www.comscc.org for rules and info. PS : Cheaper than SCDA, PCA&PDA ,Also Sat is a school with ride along instructors, while Sun is the time trial.
Limerick is a fantastic track, but as others have stated you will either need a roll bar or hardtop. Yes they will toss you if your decibal level is too high. I suggest getting a hardtop on throw on a quieter exhaust for the track.

I think I'm going to go with the hardog bar. My exhaust really is not that loud, especially since I have a turbo. It's about equal to what my mugen was when I was NA. Is there a cheap device you can buy to meassure db's or someplace that you can go to meassure it?
