If a perifferal like a mouse or a keyboard need an adapter, I would change it to one that does not need such a convoluted connection.

Bob!

So you're also saying the components must match? I have a hard time (I have to say this because Rick may be lurking) throwing $ away on a third keyboard just because the new one doesn't match. The older one is perfectly fine.........the little adapter could be the answer, it's just a USB adapter. Have you had trouble using adapters with some components?

The tower is fine, you can't see it. It's the keyboard that does not match the mouse, speakers and monitor..one simple adapter and I'm back in business, OR, keep the new keyboard and live with it.

I'm really OK with the mix and match.....I've not lost sleep yet.

I'm very surprised to find so many around here are so particular about the matching thing....

if they are that fussy about that underwear situation you brought up too. That's another poll!
