Default Damn Racoons!

So i'm driving home late tonight doing 66 mph on the Spaulding Tpk and these two giant racoons appear walking in front of me in my lane...i ease on the brakes and swerve left, just missing them (thank god) and the back starts coming around...i correct, the back comes around the other way and i go a full 180 degrees until i'm rolling backwards in the breakdown lane, but with the wheel still turned left...so i hit the gaurdrail almost dead center with the rear of the car at about 10-15 mph...

I am going to need a rear bumper cover fast...any year will suffice, a late model Berlina would be perfect...any ideas?

This could have been way worse, i'm just glad it's only plastic that got damaged...

What's really ironic is that about five minutes prior, i saw a brand new GPW smashed head on into a tree, totaled...it was on Dover Point Rd. in Dover at about 1 am...i wonder how i can get his rear bumper?

Awww man that sucks I had a similar experience but with a dear and I also hit the guard rail but I needed more than a front bumper to fix my car! Good luck with the search for a new rear bumper!

Honestly, i think it would've done more damage if i had hit them...they were absolutely huge, like small dogs...

Majestic Honda in RI seems to have a good price on an AP2 rear bumper cover for $230 + $20 shipping and handling so i'll order that tomorrow, unless the local dealer wants to beat the price...of course i need someone to shoot it in Berlina ASAP...Scott, do you know anyone who can do a quality spray this week?

Honda Barn in Stratham met Majestic's price of $230...their normal price was over $300! It will be in on Sat...Greenland Auto Body will be painting it for $225...Lee is the owner, a very nice guy and came recommended...i saw a show car he had painted, it was gorgeous! I'll pop it on a few days later...just need to make those two brackets since this is an AP2 cover...

All in all, not too bad a predicament...and a lot less than my deductable...

I tracked down the GPW and it's owner...she fell asleep and hit a tree head on...she's going to let me swap some parts before insurance takes it...
