Got a "Ricks" windscreen ?
Just got my Ricks Windscreen and installed it into the Oem Honda base yesterday. Very easy to do,now its in the drying process. Now in reading the instructions, there are these 2 "rubber bumpers" that need to be attached to the roll-hoops, one bumper on each to prevent vibration and noise. Anyway, they are to be glued onto the bars where they meet with the black base of the Honda windscreen.
The instructions call for and state "Spray superglue accelerant onto the bars where the bumpers are glued to speed the bonding" etc. Ive been to Pep-boys, asked for it at Acme and Napa. No one carries or has heard of this stuff! (including myself up till now)
I guess its not a big deal if i cant find it, but i prefer to follow the instructions exactly.
--- Anyone know where to get this stuff ?
--- Also, if you have a Ricks windscreen, how's it holding up? According to Rick, he has had it installed for awhile and has had the car up to 130mph with no problems

Steve, thats what the alcohol wipes are for. To clean the area of any silicones etc. Once you wipe it off good, the superglue should hold. What you used is probably similar to "Goop" which i found at HomeDepot along with the spring clamps.
So you have/had one of these on your car?

Steve, thanks for the link.
A quick note though.... i noticed "Hockey"s gallery to see how his bumpers were installed. It seems the Ricks screens came with round clear ttpe bumpers previously. I got 2 peices of rubber strips with an adhesive backing which they call "bumper strips" in the instructions. I guess he changed the bumper style to this newer strip type. Regardless, i have some silicone rubber sealant here which i will use instead

You can get superglue accelerator at any good hobby store that specializes in plastic models and trains. The brand to look for is "Zip Kicker." It will set the glue in about a second. Two downsides. It will generate a great deal of heat, more heat depending on the amount of superglue. The other thing is that it can turn the superglue white, so you'll have to make sure there is none visible. It's a very thin liquid, so it can get under just about any surface to start the chemical reaction with the glue.
Where are you located? I can probably direct you to a nearby shop or if you can't find any, I can get you a bottle.
PM if you don't want to put the city online,
