Help in Nashua
I had some work done at a shop in nashua called AV show room. They have done great work for me in the past but this last time has left me concerned. I purchased amp, seperates, alarm, and sub. They installed the seperates and ran wire for the amp but never hooked it up b/c we were waiting on other components. I went back to the shop and it is closed. there is a sign that says closed for renovations and will open 8/1. Now its 8/14 and I cant get hold of him. The killer is I prepaid him he has the entire rear interior of my car, spare, tool kit, jack and still has sub and amp. Anyone know if he is still around and opening soon or if he took off? Any help greatly appreciated... Thanks guys.
Wow! I don't know of that company... but this sounds a little strange. Closed for renovations and they have not opened yet?
I can suggest a couple of things you could do. Call the Better Business Bureau and or give the Police a call. They may know if they will re-open or not. If they got other complaints, then you will at least be in the right direction.
Good Luck! And keep us posted.

AV showroom is located on amherst st in the plaza next to the tech college. I contacted the better business bureau and they told me they had a complaint of usatisfactory work but no complaint of closing. I also contacted nashua police with no help. They told me they had no complaints about them and that they do not monitor busineses if they close or not. I actually went down to the shop tonight and ran into a kid who works next door and knows Joe the owner. He said he sees him in there during the day and at odd hours. I told him when he sees him again to have him call me. So that is the update for now. Thanks guys for any help in advance.
Never heard of them
There is a new place (been open for six months) next to Domino's Pizza on Amherst St. that my neighbor used and he thought they did great work. Sorry but I cannot remember the name, it is a franchise and they guarentee their work. It is always busy and I was impressed with what they had on hand.
Hope things work out for you.

Here's a thought. Contact the Nashua City Hall, Assessors Office, and find out who owns the property that this shop is in. Then contact them. This may lead you to the owner of that company.
Land ownership is public record. It might take you some time to find out, but if the guy has half your car, it's more than worth it.
You might check the businesses next to it also. They should have an idea as to who owns what. Most business owners are very A/S about who is next door.
The Better Business Bureau may have an owner of record for both the shop and the property. They might be reluctant to give it out.
Last thought, there may be a Businessman's group in Nashua. Not the Better Business Bureau but one for the Business's themselves.
Good luck.
