Default Hondata Reflash...

I've been reading up on this, but I can't find any really good info. Do you have to send your ecu out to get flashed? How is it in comparison to the e-Manage Ultimate...

Has anyone done this, or know anyone who did?

Any info would be appreciated...

Personally, I don't think it can compare to the emanage ultimate. Scott and Giles set it up for YOUR car to get the most out of it safely. How can some guy in a shop 3000 miles away know what the optimum tune for your car is? Plus, as you upgrade and add mods, Giles can re-tune the emanage to get even more out of it. For example, if you go FI in a year or two, your emanage can still be tuned to handle it. The hondata will be useless. I don't know if it is initialy cheaper for the re-flash, but I would say it's a waste in the long run.

I remember that S2000's ecu, unlike the ecu's in k-series, cannot be re-flash. Although some companies like Mugen, Spoon, J's sell ecu's that are essentially reprogrammed stock unit.

I agree w/ Jeff that e-manage from Scott/Giles is the way to go!

ISn't there a way to use a K series ECU from a RSX and get that re-flashed?

Yes... but... that's not the only think you need to swap out

All of the sensors have to as well... and that's not only a little expensive... but some of the sensors aren't very easy to get to

BUT... it can be done!
