Default how you doing for oil usage this year

seems like it's been much colder this year

to date since Nov 3rd i've used 182 gallons - and between Jan 5th to today i'm averaging 1.9 gallons a day - last year t was 2.1 gallons a day

goal is to only use 200 gallons a year but i don't think that's gonna happen this year - last year used 348 gallons of oil

good news is it's only 2.04 a gallon

bought 325 and i have a half tank currently and all I heat with is oil and its cold up here in Maine

So I guesstimate since I have a 275 Gallon tank that I have used prob 215 gallons which is awesome when you think about it as that 325 gallons also does my hot water year round.

I've filled three times when we hit the half way mark on the gauge. Around 100 gallons or a bit more each time. So, likely around 325 gallons so far. I'll probably use another 100 gallons before the end of March. That should do it for the year. I'll top it off then.

Oil price around here is $1.69 today. I've spent $638.00 so far this year.

I think we had a colder December/January than last year. February hasn't been that bad.

Bass you used that much oil last year?

I have used about a half tank since October. I guess that's about 150 gallons.

None here, electric heat.

incase you were wondering how expensive electric heat is, 480$ so far since the heat has been turned on in nov. 3 bedroom cape, full dormer.

the nice thing is every room is its own zone, and it warms up quickly when turned down.

WOW...I would love to only use that much oil a year. Heck up here in VT last year I used 1150 gallons of oil at market price from 3.25 to 4.25 a gallon. This year so far I've already used over 600 gallons, but the markets been a lot nicer to me this year!
