Let's Drive
guys and galls,Vic and I were thinking about going on a drive, but we just need a good road, there are few that we talked about like rt 44 and maybe rte 146 that goes along the shoreline for most part....both of those are kinda short so I thought of getting some ideas from you guys....everyone is more then welcome to join, date is still pending.
Thanks for all efforts
Thanks for posting this Tommi. I was tossing around some ideas for drives/meets etc.
Honestly i have more "Meet" ideas than i have drives in mind. Maybe because i dont know of any good long roads around here that are traffic light free for an extent of time. As you mentioned, rte 4 in farmington to avon canton is nice (i often travel down it by myself on a good weather day) but i think for some here, it may seem to short of a drive. I think its a 20min drive in either direction.
George may chime in here, im sure he may have some ideas.

Hey a mini CT drive??? Usually I take my bike out for a quick Sunday morning drive but it would be awesome to actually take my S out with other fellow S owners. The best areas to do some drives in CT are Litchfield County or Eastern Connecticut where we usually do the wine drive.
Here an example: basically meet off rt15 merrit in commuter lot. Take rt 34 derby to rt 188 southbury to rt 63 middlebury up to litchfield county for some lunch at a good italian place I know. Then cap off the trip with a loop around Litchfield and back home for early afternoon or just go home after that or actually make a day of it by heading up north to limerock and tearing up rt 7 for a bit and head home.
Here an example route that is doable in half a day:

Another example:

Sorry I haven't chimed in earlier but my whoring has been severely limited with work ;(
But if you are really hungry for a drive. May 14th is the Mohawk run. And June 18th is the wine drive
