Default Mac or PC

It may be time for one or two new computers in LB land. I'm pretty tired of PCs and am thinking about Macs. Any thoughts on the subject?

Last Christmas my brother and I decided it was time for my sister to upgrade her old laptop and we spent a lot of time using various Windows laptops between 500-1000 dollars. We basically came to the conclusion that the best value for a solid performing and good looking machine was a Apple MacBook (This was back when the aluminum one was a MacBook, it's now the entry level MacBook Pro). We took a lot into consideration, specs, quality of the materials (fake looking metal is... fake looking metal, cheesy), included software, ease of use. We ended up spending 1300 which was really more than I wanted to spend but it was totally worth the extra money.

I have the same laptop now too and really like it. And to top it off, a girl I know referred to it as "sexy" the other day. You're not gonna get that with a Dell

i'm buying this - as it's all i need and more for home use - under $400.00 and a full three year warranty all i really do at home is surf the web , few very basic excel spreadsheets / word documents and stream music

and unlike Kenta when i want a girl to tell me something is sexy, i just show her my wood and not my laptop

I just ordered an i7 notebook. I've wanted a MacBook pro for a long time now... but in the end, the PC offered me more powerful hardware for less money. I also like the fact that even though my choice isn't as sleek as a Mac, it offers me at least some options for upgradability in the future; some of the things that really bugged me about the MacBook pro were the soldered on CPU and the non-removable battery.

Hmmm . my battery is removable ? Have not looked at the new ones . They really are not removable now ?

MAC Book Pro Here and will never look back . Only thing I need a windows base machine for is tuning and flashing maps into EMS systems ..

My MAC if the only machine I dont have to flatten every 6 months and reinstall windows on . 3 years now and still runs the same . That alone is worth the money to me

apple fanbois

never needed to re-install windows on any of my machines - if you keep the machine clean and use some decent cleanup programs and decent spyware PCs will run just fine
