Mac or PC
I bought kimmie a Macbook (The one right below the Pro, Aluminum shell, 2.4 processor, backlit keyboard, etc) last Christmas and she loves it. I've been a longtime PC user and I still have a 6 year old workstation that is running XP with few problems (It's slow as molasses now but that might be my Cable modem).
Thing is, I use her Mac more than my own because I love the interface, the gesturing, and the neat little touches that Apple engineers thought of. I actually was trained extensively and worked on a Mac IIE (remember those?) back in High school.

I'm still on the fence when it comes time to upgrade my PC (very soon hopefully) whether I'm going PC again but I'm a big fan of the Mac product.

We did have a few electric typewriters. I have a computer at home. By the way, I'm not sure what many of you are talking about.
My first PC lasted 7 years, the next one only about 4. When I need a new one I call Erick and he tells me what to buy.
I'm happy with the Dell PC I got a year or so ago.

What was it like to take the horse and buggy to school?
Actually, the electric typewriters were limited..you had to snag one early on in typing class.

Oh, I guess you're not that old. I remember that we had typewriters when I was in highschool, but it was only for the typing class. I believe they were those IBM Selectric's with the crazy spinning ball head. I never took typing myself, I get by just fine with my three-fingers on each hand method

We didn't have the spinning ball/IBM ones, but the first place I worked did. Times have changed.Surprised you never took a real typing class. That's where all the girls are.....I bet Bass took a typing class.
No typing class for me either. I utilize the same three finger method as Kenta. Turns out that if you spend your whole day on the computer typing... you get decent at it no matter how you do it.

The teacher was like 130 years old and i explained that no one will ever use these things

My sister sometimes teaches what is now called "keyboarding" at the Voke night school in the city. Maybe you guys could be her teaching assistants and show the students your method.
