Thumbs up Need Advice

I can't remember who, but I know someone on here knows a lot about Mercedes Benz. I'm looking at purchasing a used 2006 MB R350 with 22,000 miles. Are these good vehicles? What should I be looking for?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh

who me?

you've still got a fair amount of warranty.
that would leave 1-2 years and 28K miles to sort out any issues.
The '06 was first model year for it. First year Mb's tend to have a few issues.
The Rclass was based on the ML though so it is not from scratch new model and the underpinnings should be pretty well sorted. I think they are all 4-matic for that year.

mbworld R-class forum
Don't expect the forum to be as nice as S2Ki. MB owners can be butt-brained

I tend to like MB but those are based on my priorities. YMMV
As winter beaters they are very good, I've never been stopped until the snow bottoms out the car. Although the safety stuff, ESP, BAS, etc limits how much 'fun in the snow' you can have with them.
