I have a road trip to CT on Saturday. Unless it's POURING rain I'm taking the S. Who knows, they may be wrong, it may not be that crappy, and it may clear up.

can a car die an old maid, never having been ridden hard and put away wet?
Trust me, my kids don't have to worry about this happening to them. I'm really only this anal on the 1st and last drive of the season.

Not if the driveway is wet...

Trust me, once I get the batteries in and start them up for the 1st time, I'll be perfectly happy just sitting in the driver's seat, looking out the open garage door at the rain, with a nice cold beer in my hand.
Ellen posting as Doug??

Ok, yu'all can bite me... You are making me out to be a priss who owns two garage queens. My cars are track cars, they are abused way more than most of you pansies who never go to the track. I just don't have 6 hours to throw away on detailing just to go for my first drive in the rain. It's not like I don't drive the cars in the rain, in fact that could not be farther from the truth because on rainy days at the track you can be sure to not find me in the garage where most people are, no, I'm out on track sliding around having a ball.

Actually, I'm just all fired up and happy as I just bought new tires, in addition to finding a new supplier.
