Looks like a horrible day wetter than wet, yuck. Im glad i was not the photo man there camera would have stayed in the bag! Way to wet to be shooting on that day.
I LOVE THE RAIN!!!
Doug doing the rim shot...
I'm loving the ne R888's on the black/silver wheels!
I think you learn more in the rain because you are forced to go a little slower and be better rather than only focusing on speed.
I have no problem with running in the rain other than I don't like having the windows down in it. Ian gave us the option to put them up and use turn signals for a point by instead of hand out the window.
That worked really well actually. I got one point by that way. Oh and turn 8 in the rain has to be taken a bit slower than in the dry
Doug are you going to consider going to the new NJ track to instruct with Ian? I think Ian said he will rent that next year for a few events. That would work out perfect for me, 4th year tracking, 4th new track
I spoke with an Elise owner who lives near there and of course is looking forward to the grand opening in August. He had never been to a track event with another Elise! Hard to believe after all the SCDA events I've seen where there are at least 10. He was really happy to have an Elise driver as his instructor.

Doug what kind of speed are you carrying thru the corner?
What I can say for sure is that is past the apex and the throttle is nearly to the floor. The more yellow/green area on the leeft of the image is the concrete that I'm driving on in the dry track pic. In the rain, you have to stay off that concete patch if you expect toget any traction at all.

One question I do have is do you know the photographers distance from the track?
