I'd think twice about that Lainey.
rick can certainly get away with it but you might attract a little more attention.

CO's can dump threads where mere mortals can't find them. I suspect that is where the hottie thread ended up.

I got my car up on jackstands last night.
Tonight I'll be dropping the rear two portions of my Spugen Stainless Steel exhaust.
On Saturday I'll be running it out so it can be powdercoated.
I just hate the bling factor of the huge polished mufflers, as far as I'm concerned the only chrome that belongs on my car should be the huge oval tips, so powdercoating black it is.

It took me more than 1-hour to clean up the left tip, the big oval tips are just a tad too big for the openings in the bumper when you factor in the high cornering loads of track work. The left tip really got into a portion of the plastic last year and melted the hole slighltl bigger. The challenge last night was to figure how to get that melted plastic off. I found hot water and a razor blade in a window scraper worked fine. I added a few scratches to the polished chrome surface, but nothing I'm concerned about, and nothing anybody will ever see unless they are laying under the car.
Tonight I have to work on creating the new bumper opening, I want to trim the holes slightly larger so I don't have to worry about future melts...
Boy oh boy, does it ever feel good to be beack in the garage working at night!!!
